My final post about this holiday, how am I here already?! The OCD part of me wanted to make a post for each city we went to just so that I could explain everything that happened but I know that would be sooooo boring to read! So I’ve tried to just condense each place into the least I can say while still giving you an insight into what I thought of the place and it’s good or bad points BUT, I would love to hear if you have any questions about where I went, the holiday, visas, anything! Please do leave a comment or email me.
Going to America, I thought I was pretty safe in assuming that the weather would be warm/hot for the whole trip. WRONG. Yellowstone was so cold! I took some jeans which were only really meant for the English part but when we got to Cody on day 11 I was SO HAPPY that I had brought some kind of warm clothing! It was actually snowing as we drove up the mountainside; 10oc felt like it was freezing when you had just been in 40oc heat. It makes me laugh when I think about if it was 10oc in England right now we would consider it kind of warm! But anyway, Yellowstone. Gorgeous, magnificent Yellowstone. I loved all of the National Parks that we visited on our holiday, they all felt so special and valued. Not that it’s something you can control but it would have been such a better experience if it was a nice sunny day. With the weather being so dull it made all the hot springs and geysers look just as lifeless which was a shame as I know that Yellowstone is such a beautiful natural park.
I’ll warn you now , this post will be a bit all over the place as there is just so much to cover! From day 4 to day 22 of our holiday we spent a maximum of a day and a half in each location, most of the time it was just an evening that we were given to spend at our leisure in the city we were in before we moved onto the next leg.
You know the sort of holiday that everyone dreams of? The kind of holiday you have to save up years and years for and you know will be a once in a lifetime experience? Well this was one of them. I think I’m quite safe in saying I will never go on such a holiday ever again in my life (unless I win the lottery of course, in which case it will be ALL I do) but I honestly believe it’s something everyone should strive to do in their life: explore a country so much that you never feel the need to go back!
So a few months ago I decided that the reason that I wasn’t getting any revision done was because my desk space wasn’t pretty enough (DEFINITELY not the actual reason but ya know) and so what better way to make it pretty than to have a little splash on Paperchase. They actually have some amazing collections available right now, my favourite is probably the bright fruits collection! It’s so vibrant, it’s one of those instant mood lifters!
