I’m very lucky to have such a wonderful bedroom. When I was younger I wasn’t so lucky (I had to share with my brother from age 6 to 16 – not fun!) but as if to make up for it, my parents wanted to extend the house and they gave me the nice new bedroom! Lucky me indeed. It is absolutely perfect and I feel so grateful to have a big bedroom that I’ve decorated exactly how I like. I think it might be due a new paint soon as I’m so into everything being white at the moment! But today I thought I would share a few things that I’ve personalised my room with. To be honest, there’s not really a theme. All of my furniture is black but my decor is just what I’ve picked up over the years and they’re things that really mean something to me in some way or another.
This photo is of me and my brother when we were little, we had our cute moments! Annoyingly the photo quality is really bad but it reminds me of how much fun we used to have at our nan and grandad’s house so it brings me a smile every time I see it! The frame is from my other grandparents for my 18th birthday.
I love anoything rose gold/copper. I think it’s just the fact that it’s a metallic pink? I mean, what could be better?!
I’m also a big lover of fake plants. The fact that they’re there to stay and won’t die on you just fills me with joy! Don’t get me wrong, I love fresh flowers but when it comes to plants… a lot of the time you can’t even tell they’re fake anyway 🙂 this lovely little fake number is from ASDA. I can’t remember the price but the fact it’s from ASDA means it won’t have cost me any more than a fiver….
If you’ve read my first ever blog post (don’t worry I won’t blame you if you haven’t, it probably wasn’t that great!) which was a Paperchase haul, then you’ll recognise these. The frames are from Paperchase and the prints are from a really lovely shop on Etsy, but you can find prints anywhere to be honest! They’re hung above my bed and, I think, make a nice focal point in the room 🙂
This was a present from my brother (he’s getting a lot of mentions in this post huh?!) a couple of Christmases ago. It’s one of the best presents he’s ever bought me because it’s just so me. My aim in the next few years, like a lot of people in their twenties, is to travel and this reminds me every single day just how many countries I still have left to visit! Also, I’m not gonna lie, it helps me learn where countries actually are… I’m not the best at Geography!
And finally, a scented candle. Because it wouldn’t be my room without a candle or two in there. Fresh linen is my absolute fave of all scents; I love clean-smelling things! These large Colony candles burn for days and days.
What is your favourite piece of decor in your room? Hope you have a lovely week!
