Happy Monday you lovely lot! Hope you had a fab weekend. This week I want to show you the makeup I use every single day. I don’t ever really stray from these products as I feel like I’ve tried and tested everything and these are what I’ve found to be the best for my face. Sometimes I’ll add a bit of eyeshadow or liquid liner if I have time but let’s face it – that’s not very often! Also please excuse some of the more worn down products! The blush, for example, usually has lovely gold writing on the front but I’m not going to admit how long that’s been gone for….
Loreal Infallible 24H-Matte Foundation in Porcelain – This is something I really want to be able to move away from but can’t. The thing is, I really shouldn’t be using a matte foundation as my skin is pretty dry but I just can’t find any other foundation out there that 1. gives such amaaaaazing full coverage and covers imperfections and 2. actually matches my skin tone (might write a blog post about my struggles with finding very pale foundation, what dya think?). I’ve tried the same foundation in ‘non-matte’ but it just isn’t the same kind of formulation. So for now, this is the one!
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair 1 – I can guarantee you will not find another concealer out there that is this cheap and this good! At £3.99 how can you really go wrong? It does what it says on the tin and is the right shade for my skin, yay!
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light – This powder does absolute wonders for your face. If, like me, you find your foundation lacking in the ‘dewy glow’ department this is the perfect thing to go on top of it. However it does unfortunately come with a pretty hefty price tag at £40!!
Collection Contour Kit – This is a product I am definitely keen to change sometime soon. I only really use the contour shade which is actually a bit too dark for me so if you have any recommendations for contour kits on lighter skin I would really appreciate it!
Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush in 34 Rose D’Or – My little Bourjois blusher had been a firm favourite of mine for YEARS. Pigmented? Check. Highlighting sparkle? Check. Lovely smell? Check. I could go on. The only thing is that they last forever so I have to buy a new pot every so often because they run out of date and I end up throwing away so much product 🙁 if they could make the pots a bit smaller so that I didn’t have to throw product away then it would definitely be a 10/10.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown – My brows are probably the thing that take the longest, I have a bit of an obsession with getting them absolutely perfect everyday which usually ends up making me late to work! This pencil is perfect. So precise and really gives the illusion of actual hairs.
L’Oreal Paris Mega Volume Mascara in Black & L’Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes Mascara in Black – You may be wondering why on earth I have two mascaras. Well, I use the Mega Volume mascara first to build body at the base of my lashes and to really spread them out. Then the Million Lashes mascara is great for lengthening the lashes (not so great for volume, as the name suggests, though!). I find that if I just use my Million Lashes mascara on its own then my lashes really stick together and aren’t very defined.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in That Glow – And finally, highlighter. I don’t think anyone can argue against ABH doing the absolute best highlighters ever. The pigmentation is just i-n-s-a-n-e. I bought this highlight palette last year in America as I’ve found it’s pretty rare to find anywhere that stocks ABH in the UK (unless you shop online).
And there you go, my everyday makeup products. It always makes me laugh when one of my friends watches me do my makeup, she always comments on how many products I have and how she could never imagine using that many… I don’t think I even use that much?! I consider my makeup bag pretty basic compared to some!
What’s your one makeup essential you couldn’t live without?
